Through exercises that will stretch the imagination and deepen your craft, you’ll leave with a better approach to captivating readers. The workshop will be a warm and supportive environment where you can grow and take risks. Bring a page from our current story so we can see what you’re currently doing with your narrative voice.
About the Speaker:
John Claude Bemis is the award-winning author of seven books including The Nine Pound Hammer (Random House) and The Wooden Prince (Disney-Hyperton). He was selected to represent North Carolina’s literary community as the Piedmont Laureate in 2013 and received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his work as an author educator. While primarily a children’s book author, John leads writing workshops and story consultations for writers in a wide variety of genres.
